About

My name is Don Hildred, principal photographer of Don Hildred Photographics. I live in Toowoomba but travel regularly around Southern Queensland. I provide commercial photographic services covering: Advertising, Product and Editorial photography, as well as Documentation of Artworks. My customers range from small local businesses to Sydney based commercial advertising agencies.

My professional photographic career began in 1988 after graduating with Honours in an Assoc. Deg. Applied Photography from the Queensland College of Art, and also receiving the Australian Institute of Medical and Biological Illustration Award for Student of the Year.

I then worked for numerous years with Brisbane commercial photographers and advertising agencies. I moved back to Toowoomba and worked for 12 years in the University of Southern Queensland’s Photography section. After having enough of politics, I decided to return
to freelance commercial photography.
